D. McQuarrie Welding & Repair was started in 2023 by the owner, Dwight McQuarrie.
Dwight has worked as a machinist for 10+ years, and has always had a passion for welding. He has spent years welding both at work and in his free time to perfect his skill. He has always been eager to start his own mobile welding business so that he can help people on the go and do the work he enjoys best.
At D. McQuarrie Welding & Repair we take pride in our business and always strive to provide the customer with the best quality service. In 2025, D. McQuarrie Welding & Repair became a Division 2 CWB certified company with the Canadian Weld Bureau (CWB).
The CWB regulates welding codes for the Canadian Standards Association. These are the rules and policies that have to be followed to ensure safe welding practices. These are similar to common codes like plumbing and electrical.
We look forward to expanding our education and certifications in the future as D. McQuarrie Welding & Repair continues to grow!
Services
Mobile Welding
Our mobile welding services provide timely repairs at your convenience. With expertise in mig, tig, stick and aluminum welding. We are well equipped to repair what's broken or create something new.
In Shop Welding/Fabrication
Our in shop welding/fabrication services can include CNC plasma cutting, material bending, rolling and production welding work. Give us a call with a tricky repair or new creation and we are happy to help!
Machining
We specialize in new part machining and/or machining repairs. We offer lathe, mill and boring mill work.
Steel Sales
Whether you're building a project with us, or on your own, we stock common sizes of steel and other material. Local delivery available upon request.

How do I request a service?
To request a service, simply fill out our online form with your contact information and details about the job. Once we receive your request, we will get in touch to schedule a convenient time for the service.
What are your service areas?
We provide services to the Barrie and surrounding area. We do travel further as needed. Feel free to reach out to us for more information on if we cover your area. If you are unsure whether we cover your location, feel free to reach out to us for more information.
Do you offer after hours services?
Yes, we do offer after hours services. Typically, most work is completed 7am-5pm Monday-Saturday. If your job needs to be completed outside of these hours, we will accommodate it to the best of our ability. We encourage you to book your job with us with as much notice as possible to ensure we can fit it in the schedule as needed.
